Bollinger Canyon Elementary rewarded for its admirable cleanup efforts

SAN RAMON – Bollinger Canyon Elementary School will benefit from the goodwill gesture of a local construction company.

Andrew Rafferty, owner of "A Better Restoration, Inc." will present the school officials with a $10,000.00 check this Friday.

The unexpected gift is a reward for gumption shown by the Bollinger Canyon community following sever flooding to the campus in December.

The schools were closed for a week prior to the holidays, and around-the-clock repairs were made during winter vacation.

Rafferty’s company was among the handful of organizations hired to get Bollinger Canyon back open by January.

Parents, teachers, administrators and students also pitched in, working alongside the professional cleaner-uppers.

"After spending a great deal of time on the cleanup efforts, Mr. Rafferty was so impressed by the school community that he wanted to give back in some way."

A check presentation will be made 4 p.m. Friday at Bollinger Canyon Elementary School, 2300 Talavera Drive, San Ramon.

Thanks so much for cleaning up the mess. When Prudential told me to call you, frankly, I was skeptical. Your men were on time, professional, and cleaned up the horrible mess from the toilet very quickly. My wife says the carpets are better now than before the disaster.
